Our Caricature

My sister and I had a caricature of us done when she was 4 and I was 8. Over spring break Kim had started to get her new room ready for when we move down. The caricature was hanging on the wall and Josh looked at it.

Josh: (pointing at Kim) That's Ben* and (pointing at me) that's Jesus.
Kim: No, that's me and that's Stephanie.
Josh: No.

* Ben is another cousin who's 5.

Christmas Time

Aunt Robin flew in this Christmas a few days after Christmas to surprise my grandma. Joshua woke up and saw her at the breakfast table and said: Aunt Robin, did you come in through the chimney?

Panic! at the Disco

My sister and I like to listen to Panic! at the Disco. We introduced Josh to the music over spring break. After I had returned to college (earlier than my mom and sister), everyone was talking about how I was at college. Josh then said: No! Stephanie's at the Disco!

More Phone Conversations

Today, while Joshua was "talking" to Lexi:

I love you forever.

Phone Conversations

We love to talk to Joshua on the phone, but he doesn't always want to talk to us. One day, Aunt Leslie asked Josh if he wanted to talk to Aunt Rose. He said no, I want to talk to Lexi. My mom then pretended to be Lexi, barking into the phone, while Josh rambled away about what he did that day and how he got some candy. He then turned to Aunt Leslie and said: Lexi wants some gum.

The Gun

My mom likes to repeat herself. When she does, my family has the saying: Get the gun out. It tells my mom that she's going a bit far. Joshua picked up on the phrase putting his own little spin on it.

He likes to run around screaming: GET A GUN! GET A GUN!

Meet the Dog

Our last visit to Georgia was Spring Break of this year. This was the first time that Joshua met our new dog, Lexi. Sometimes he liked her and sometimes he didn't, but no matter what he constantly was coming up with new names for her.

Names Josh Called Lexi:
Lexi
That Dog
Blue
Bingo
My Little Pumpkin

Things Josh Said To or About Lexi:
Where'd that Kittie Go?
GO AWAY! PLAY WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!!

(over Spring Break 2006)

New Dog

Aunt Leslie: Joshua, what should Kimmie call her new dog?
Josh: That dog's name is Bingo.

A Request

Sometime around the Nose Blowing Time:

My grandma walks in to get Josh up from his nap.

Josh: I hear my dad working with tools in the garage. I want to go to him.

The remarkable thing about this was, he wasn't really talking in full sentences yet.

A Happening Today 2

*While talking about our soon-to-be-happening move to Georgia*

Josh: Aunt Rose, Stephanie, Kim and Lexi are coming to live with me soon and we are going to have so much stuff.

A Happening Today

My Aunt Leslie, Joshua's mom, called me today while my mom, my Aunt Robin, and I were on our way to Target. Apparently she was looking for Joshua and asked my Uncle Keith were he was. My uncle points to the stairs and says: He's sleeping on the third step. Josh was so tired that he fell asleep while playing. My aunt proceeded to take pictures.

The Title

The title of this blog comes from Josh himself. There really isn't much more to it, other than the fact that he said it.

Would someone please blow my nose? (2 years)

The Beginning

I've created this blog to document the hilarious doings and sayings of my 3 year old cousin, Joshua. In a short while, my family and I will be living in the same house with him. Until I have 24-7 Josh, I will try to remember some things he has said and done in the past. While this blog is mostly a place for me to be able to remember what he says and some of the stuff will most likely not be funny to someone else, I hope that outsiders can enjoy this also.
